Kurt Weiser: Eden Revisited

The first major survey of the ceramic work of Kurt Weiser, Regents Professor at Arizona State University and former director of the Archie Bray Foundation. Kurt is a true postmodernist. His intriguing narratives and lush imagery—china-painted onto porcelain vessels—combine daydreams, travels, and exotic fantasies. Organized by the ASU Art Museum’s Ceramics Research Center, Eden Revisited is curated by Peter Held and sponsored by the Windgate Charitable Foundation.

The Holter Museum presents an exciting selection from among the finest work of Montana and regional artists: ceramic vessels and sculpture, painting both figurative and abstract, works on paper, fine wood objects and furniture, hand-crafted jewelry, and mixed media. The annual benefit gala and live auction support the museum's exhibition and education programs.

In conjunction with Fiber Conference in Helena, the Holter presents exquisite shawls and scarves by Wilsall handweavers Sarah Pilgrim and handsome rugs by Lewistown handweaver Susan Ostlind Lohmuller. Presented in collaboration with the Montana Association of Weavers and Spinners biennial conference.
