Tours
PLAN A TOUR, EXPERIENCE ART, MEET AN ARTIST
The Holter features five galleries—the Artworks/Nicholson Gallery, the Sherman, Bair, and Millikan Galleries, and the High Gallery—hosting a variety of exhibitions year-round. The Museum offers tours for people of all ages and interests from pre-school and high school to community groups, people with disabilities, and retired adults.
Hands-On Tours: Look · Learn · Create
Holter Museum docents conduct engaging, student friendly gallery tours that encourage kids to think creatively while stimulating an interest in contemporary art. Students are invited to look, discover, question, and explore art through lively discussion, careful observation, and hands-on art activities. These tours include a $3/student materials fee, with scholarships available.
Talking Art Tours
Talking Art tours are designed for groups of all ages from the very young to senior adults. Groups tour the museum galleries with docents (volunteer educators) exploring each exhibition through questioning, discussion, and a variety of gallery activities. These tours are free of charge.
